I
have been in Maharashtra since last twenty years. During this period, I lived
in other cities of state also because of professional engagements as well as in
other states also. As being a Jain Community member, I personally feel that
Maharashtra Jain Community is more enriched with the diversity of profession,
culture, sect and individual history etc. The best trait that I proud to be for
is that the modern generation believes in accommodating the changes in the
traditions and customs. Setting of Maharashtra marriages is the example of this
shift commonly noticed at each wedding function.
Most
Maharashtra Jains migrated here from northern states with Rajasthan at top. A
good size of Maharashtra Jains originally belongs to Bihar also. Today, past

significantly in the state’s economy. Youngsters are joining the main stream of
professions; so, majority of youth has focus upon the service sector within or
